Toyota Motor Corporation has its luxury vehicle division for premium cars called Lexus which started its production in 1989 in the United States and has become world-famous and is marketed today in more than 70 countries. There are several cab configurations – sedan, coupe, convertible and sport utility vehicle models; moreover, some hybrid models joined Lexus lineup. Lexus became a result of several-year observation of tastes and lifestyles of American upper class customers.

After a big success of sedans Lexus LS 400 and Lexus ES 250, the first sports coupe Lexus SC 400 with V8 engine appeared.  Since than Lexus production has increased and expanded – apart from sedans and coupes, Lexus produces crossovers SUV like Lexus RX 350   and hybrids that are targeted suburban consumers who want luxury-branded cars, but do not need high off-road capability.
